Dr. Jennifer Devens – Biography
Dr. Jennifer Devens was raised in Moline, Illinois. After graduating from Moline high School in 1994 she attended Nursing school. She has always loved and enjoyed working with people and has such great compassion for people. Her first experience with chiropractic came while attending a chiropractic seminar with a friend. Noticing how passionate these people were about their profession she had to look more into this and had her first adjustment soon after.
Dr. Devens attended Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa while simultaneously working on her bachelor’s degree and also participating in the doctor of chiropractic program. While attending Palmer, Dr. Devens traveled to Vietnam in 2006 along with several of her classmates to serve the Vietnamese community. In October of 2006 she graduated from Palmer with both her bachelors in science degree and Doctorate in chiropractic.
Upon graduation she moved to El Paso, Texas to run and operate her first clinic. She was able to get this clinic up and running at over 400 patents a week within 6 months. She decided to move back home to the quad cities after a year in Texas. She was then offered to open another clinic in Merrillville, Indiana that was another great success.
She took time off chiropractic to have her 3rd child and enjoy being a mom. In 2014 she moved to West Des Moines and took over a struggling clinic. She was in West Des Moines for two years before moving back home to the Quad Cities to be closer to family and friends. Dr. Devens recently opened up her own chiropractic clinic in Bettendorf, Iowa which she plans to land and grow roots here for herself and her family.
Dr. Devens is constantly continuing her education and is currently working on her sports physician certificate. Dr. Devens attends seminars every year to develop her adjusting skills and to stay on top of the education needed to serve her patients to the best of her ability. She is also getting ready to embark on the study of acupuncture.
Dr. Devens has 3 children, Zachary who is 20, Addison 7, and Liam 4. She is so excited and feels blessed for the opportunity to serve her own community. She is ready to build great relationships throughout her community and give back in every way possible.
